9-11 One moment in time. The shocked world held its breath. Life and death became an indistinguishable mix of dust and debris. There was no black or white, no wealthy or poor, no gay or straight, no man or woman, adult or child.  ALL of us searching the depths of our souls to understand what kind of hatred would cause any human entity or group to do such a thing. The world was in mourning. As God looked in anguish at the pain and agony of his creation we began to fall to our knees. Heroes from all walks of life accepted their calling. We began to join hands across our nation as we were reminded of the value of human life. We began to put aside our differences and care for one another….pray for one another. We stood united against evil.
How soon we forget. How quickly we pick up our swords and put up our walls. How easily we allow evil to once again become an acceptable part of our world-an evil presence masquerading as a friend. We once again pick up our causes and throw stones at each other because we have forgotten that “people” are not the enemy…Satan is the enemy! “If MY People who are called by MY name will humble themselves and pray and seek MY face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land”. 2 Chronicles 7:14 My Christian brothers and sisters, it is our responsibility as sinners saved by grace and shown mercy by an almighty God to get ourselves right with God and with each other. It is our responsibility to show a lost world how to love. It is our responsibility to enter our War room of prayer to battle the evil one. It is time to lift the banner of the cross. It is time for us to remember that we are children of the one and only King who has already fought for us and won the battle. It is time to humbly cry out to the creator of the universe. It is time to search for truth in the face of God. It is time to boldly choose to do right. It is time to deny Satan access to our thoughts, actions, homes, families, country, and even our churches. Throw him out in the name of Jesus. Then..and only then..will our God hear our prayer and bring healing to our land. The time is now. May the battle cry be heard in every corner of the earth. Our God wins and we are His people.
