I am a follower of Christ, Wife, Mom, Teacher, Musician and Artist. I am an observer of people and nature and am working on learning how to truly “live love”. I talk to birds and butterflies, have been known to rescue baby snakes, love to get my hands dirty in the flower garden, and can lay on the sidewalk at night and watch the moon and stars for hours. I just love living!

The World Was Gray

20 years ago today, for a season, the world turned gray. A moment in history that left a scar on the past, a reminder in the present, and hopefully a lasting impression on the future. Many of us remember where we were, what we were doing, who we were with, and how we...

Heartbroken but not Defeated – Welcome 2021

Heartbroken but Not Defeated - Welcome 2021 I think “heartbroken” is a word many of us have had cross our minds over the past few months. Heartbroken for all those who have lost loved ones and this is their first Christmas season without them. Heartbroken for...

Stained Glass Windows

Past and Present I took these photos this summer. The Holy Spirit moved in my heart as soon as I stepped foot into that beautiful church and saw the stained glass windows. My desire was to write and post about it immediately but my spirit said, “Wait”. This...

20/20 – Vision, Focus, Clarity

I know there will be many posts about 2020 Vision. My prayer is that you will take the time to read this one. It may be a little different than some of the others. Hopefully, it will at least make you think and will bring some thoughts of action, growth, and change...

Have You Seen Him?

In researching and writing for the Bible study to go with my painting called “The Message” something new surfaced that I can honestly say has changed my life. Even with the hustle and bustle of the next few days, I hope you will take the time to read this post and...

Do We Really Remember?

My daughter Lauren is truly a gifted writer and I wanted to share with you her amazing words today. We say we remember... but do we? Do we really? Do we remember how hate had no place in the days immediately after 09.11? - love and servanthood was our first response....

Saying ALL the Things – In Honor of My Daddy

100 Years My Daddy would have been 100 years old today. He was born May 24, 1919 and named Reginald Kelly Waggoner. I decided that writing would be a good way to honor him and maybe help a few people along the way. He was named after Kelly Airforce Base in San...

He is Risen!

The lifeless, human body of Jesus was laid in that borrowed tomb.  It was done.  Death had come.  And that was the end of that, right?  I mean death is death.  So when Jesus cried out from the cross, “It is finished”, it really was over.  Well, Yes.  Now stay with...

His Sacrifice – Living Love

Golgotha Jesus went to the cross for you and for me.  The culmination of every moment in the past, present, and future comes to completion in three days.  Regardless of all the arguments, one fact remains.  The man called Jesus laid down His life for all of...

The Garden of Gethsemane is such a beautiful place. The olive trees, some of them hundreds of years old, stand as a reminder of the incredible history of this garden. A relief sculpture in the area catches my eye. The anguish and pain is captured beautifully by an...
